Jason Zachary is in trouble. Big trouble. He's just woken up after a night of heavy partying to discover a dead man in
the bed beside him and a cop named Spider in the doorway arresting him. What he doesn't realize is that Detective Alex
Spider may be more trouble than the dead man!
When I first started reading this novel, I was excited because the blurb had been so good, but when I saw the text was
in first person, my excitement dulled a tad. However, as I continued reading, I got so caught up in the story, and the
back and forth style between Jason's and Alex's points of view, that I forgot how the book was written. This story led
me down a path reminiscent of a good Bogey movie.
I'm a sucker for crime novels anyway, but throw in Bogart and I'm hooked. The sex in this story wasn't your usual male
on male action either, and I have to admit, I turned the air conditioner up a notch or two.
P.A. Brown has done a marvelous job of not just telling a good story, but of weaving the reader in and out of the minds
of the characters and bringing the reader into a world that feels real to the point of seeming as if you are actually
in the story yourself. This story will leave you on the edge of your seat and breathless--for more reasons than one.
